Code of Conduct
Every CJoI member, volunteer, and leader agrees to uphold this code. No exceptions - not for founders, not for elected officials.
CJoI was founded on the principle that India's political culture can be transformed - but only if we hold ourselves to a higher standard than those we seek to replace. This code is not aspirational. It is mandatory and enforceable.
What Members Must Do
- Speak with facts, data, and evidence - no exaggeration or misinformation
- Treat every citizen with dignity regardless of caste, religion, gender, or region
- File RTI applications peacefully and through legal channels
- Report corruption through official channels - police, CVC, or CJoI's internal portal
- Represent CJoI honestly and disclose your membership when acting in the party's name
- Follow all applicable laws during protests, rallies, and campaigns
- Respect court orders and democratic processes unconditionally
What is Strictly Prohibited
- Use hate speech, communal rhetoric, or language targeting any religion, caste, or community
- Make false accusations without evidence - especially against individuals or institutions
- Engage in or incite violence under any circumstances - this is absolute and non-negotiable
- Accept money, gifts, or favours in exchange for political influence
- Represent CJoI's positions without authorisation from the State or National Committee
- Defame other political parties or their members using fabricated information
- Violate the privacy of citizens while conducting campaigns or surveys
Enforcement & Penalties
Minor breach: first-time use of unverified claims in public. Formal written warning issued.
Repeated breach or moderate violation: 90-day suspension from all party activities.
Hate speech, violence, corruption, or criminal conduct: immediate and permanent expulsion.
All complaints must be submitted in writing to ethics@cockroachjantaofindia.org. The National Ethics Committee will respond within 14 working days.
